Day 3.

Creative challenge, this is for yesterday.

Was messing around with making up a logo for an online music group.

These are just the basic B&W for the logo to see how she likes them.

Will add colour and details later on if she chooses to do so

Day 2.

Of my Creative Challenge.

So since I got this idea the other day, I figured to catch up I was going to do something else today. To make it day two and all.

Here's another typography / wallpaper / pretty thing for ya. Inspired by a typography tutorial.

To download it click on the image above, on the left hand menu there should be a download button.

Just a quick update,

I won a photography contest! Go me. You can view it here. I'm actually one of the monthly finalists right now and so far I've won :

- $150 Gift Certificate for Lobster. (which I don't eat, so I'm going to have a dinner for the fam)
- $50 to Sugah. It's a sweet candy store downtown.

I'm now entered in to win the grand prize which is a $2500 Nova Scotian dream vacation.

Wish me luck!

Manipulations, manipulations...

So,

We have an assignment in school coming up where we got our pictures taken by a professional photographer against a white background. The assignment is that we have to photoshop ourselves onto a magazine cover. Awesome, right?

So last night, my boyfriend was being slow so I decided to use a picture a classmate of mine had taken of me against a white wall and just play with it a bit to make it look... better? I guess you could say. It was super fun and took me about an hour and a half. It's kinda funny. List of everything done to the picture :

- Cropped a few times.
- Lightened hair, fixed up highlights.
- Fixed eyebrows. (Shape, Darken, etc..)
- Gave my eyes eyelashes.
- Brighten / Colourized my eyes.
- Gave myself some eye liner.
- Took the bags from under my eyes out.
- Lightened up my face.
- Smoothed it out and took some of the red/paleness out.
- My lips looked chapped and really, I do like my teeth. So I used another photo she took of me and took my teeth off that photo and put it into this one. (You can't really tell unless I tell you I did that, but now that I did you'll realize it looks kinda funny)
- Got rid of freckles around my face.
- Sharpened + high-pass filter.
- Gave my lips some redness for colour.
- Put blush on myself (took it off eventually though)
- Teeth were too lightened after I did something and I couldn't calm them down so I just left them all stupid and bright looking.
- Flattened, fixed levels for the 5th time.

Probably some other stuff too. It's crazy to think that everyone is so bloody photoshopped in magazines. It's even funny to because the day she took the picture I had been wearing the same shirt for like a week (not really, but like 2 days because I was too tired to get up and change it), I hadn't showered that morning, no make-up, still half asleep, hair wasn't done, etc.. pretty good for my first time, eh?

Life's awesome when it's crazy.

Red bird.

So, I had a dream last night. I feel like sharing.

Scott and I were in New Brunswick. Except it wasn't NB, it was like NB meets wolfville meets the woods kind of thing. It was weird. It was gorgeous outside, Autumn apparently. The leaves were all red and yellow and there was one side of the forest that had a straight path and one that had a winding one.

We were on the winding one first, then we walked over to the straight one. How we got there made no sense. We both had SLR cameras with us. We were walking and I saw this pretty bluejay on a tree so I held out my hand.. and it actually came and sat on my hand. We took a few pictures.

Then we saw this awesome amazing red/orangy huge bird. Held out my hand and it came over and just sat on it. We took a bunch of pictures of it and continued walking. A few minutes later there was a family behind us so I "threw" the bird their way so they could enjoy it.

Then I woke up.

So random.

It sucks, you probably have to register to vote. But if you did that'd be awesome. :)

Waiting, an endless cycle.

I wait for my boyfriend to get out of bed so I can get ready for school.
I wait for my hair to dry.
I wait for my Step Dad to leave and drive me to school.
I wait in traffic to get to school.
I wait for class to start.
I wait for class to end.
I wait 2 hours in between classes.
I wait for another class to start.
I wait for that class to end.
I wait while printing my assignments off.
I wait for my computer to load things.
I wait for my first bus to come.
I wait for the ferry to come.
I wait for my second bus to come.
I wait while I walk to get home.
I wait for my dog to come running.
I wait for ideas to come into my head so I can do my homework.
I'm not waiting for supper.

I'll then wait for my boyfriend to come over.
Wait for our shows to come on.
Wait for us to shower.
Wait to use the bathroom to brush my teeth.
Wait to fall asleep.

You spend most(Literally like 85% of my time) of my life waiting. Think about it.

Windy day.

So my birthday is over. Sort of, a few of us are going out for dinner tonight. I can't wait to see everyone.

Birthday Gifts :
- Jacket from my parents. (Returned to get a different one.)

- 60 bus tickets from my grandparents!

- Big box of Lindor chocolates from my grandparents.

- Ashley Macisaac tickets from the boyriend.

- An awesome homemade card from the boyfriend. (Made out of sheet metal <3)

- A ring made out of a loonie the boy is making me. It's really cool.

- Money from my Uncle.

- Warmest fuzzy sweater from my boyfriend's parents.

I have to go see the other side of the family sometime to get the rest. They're always so busy though, it's hard.

Hair;I have some project stuff to work on for school today and then tonight before dinner I'm going to get my hair cut. My hair, if you don't know, is super long. Super straight and super annoying. I'm getting it cut to maybe an inch under my shoulders or so. I guess I'll have to wait and see if I can actually go through with it.

School; I spent literally almost 5 hours staring at my screen trying to come up with ideas. I got the worst headache. And yet, I still didn't even get that much done. Ugh.
